Well we hope not. I hope that such an ending would make Ranka realize something and grow up. I would hope that she accepts it and decides that her decision when she left is the correct one and from that point onward is just friends with Alto and Sheryl.

Well, I hope she develops into the person we glimpsed on episode 21, and stops making stupid decisions and behaving like a brat. But, hey, there's just one episode left. And what if the triangle really doesn't END, what with Alto's fate unknown?

I mean, it would be EPIC if the series ended with the main male protagonist AWOL. :eyebrow:

I expected Ranka to be the more popular one. Granted, this is a Macross anime but I expected Ranka's cute factor to win over a lot of people. My faith in humanity has been restored!

Well, Sheryl is more popular here, but she has a lot of fans in Random curiosity. Way more fans over there than here. So don't go about sheryl popularity from what happens in here. The thing is that in this battle, there is not really a good guy. It is Leon Vs Grace, so it all depends which one of them is more hated.

With reference to the fanarts, it is actually AltoxSheryl. Some blog polls also indicates that AltoxSheryl is very well liked in Japan.

well Japan likes the Moe type of girl more than elsewhere, thus why Ranka still get 50/50 over there. The LT was resolved. I am happy to see alto die, it is about time that some main character dies in an anime.

Yeah, pretty much. Iīve been /facepalming a lot in the last two weeks due to Ranka shippers, but this "Alto is dead! Iīm sure because I know!" attitude is really droll, too.

Alto was in the fighter because he came to protect Klan and got in between Klan and Bresra and he also calls out to Klan. it's easy to miss if you don't pay attention closely. There was a theory that he got off the fighter before he sent it to brasra.
